Rochon was born and raised in Torrance. Rochon was born to Zelma Staples (a nurse practitioner) and Samuel Staples (a businessman and graphic artist). She graduated in 1982 of Cerritos High School in Cerritos, California. In 1986, she graduated from California State University Dominguez Hill (CSUDH) with an undergraduate degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Theatre and Sociology. Rochon returned to CSUDH to speak at the commencement ceremony in 2016 as keynote speakers.

Heather Storm works as a travel writer, television host and producer. An enthusiast for cars, she served as the host of series for Garage Squad on Discovery's MotorTrend Network, Street Tuner Challenge on Speed TV and a guest on Jay Leno's Garage. Heather is the creator and host of the digital travel show Drive Yourself Local where she tells stories from the locals in the small town while traveling across America in her classic 1965 Ford Mustang. Ullerup first appeared in Battlestar Galactica remake, the Sci Fi Channel's 2006 TV show. The role she played was Julia Brynn. Her character, Ashley Magnus, was made up of the show's first and second seasons. Her departure led to heated discussion among fans. Many wanted to bring the character back for a future episodes, but the show was cancelled in 2012. Ullerup appeared in Chesapeake Shores as Bree O'Brien. Ullerup was cast as Maggie Thomas, Michael Thomas the estranged wife, in Asteroid: Final Impact (2005). Ullerup's recurring role in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered series is Dale Travers since 2016.

After studying improv at Chicago's Second City and Improv Olympic in the early 1990s, Poehler co-founded the improvisational-comedy troupe Upright Citizens Brigade.
