Sarah Chalke

Sarah Chalke was conceived in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on August 27, 1976. Her parents are Angie Chalke and Doug Chalke. She is the middle of two siblings: the older one, Natasha Chalke, one younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah made her acting debut in the film City Boy (1992), an original television film. In 1993, following her first film, she auditioned for the role of "Becky" on the TV show Roseanne (1988). The show was in search of an actor to replace Alicia Goranson quit the show to go to college. Sarah graduated from high school in 1995. She was also involved in the production of Roseanne (1988) from 1994 to 1995. Also, in 1994, Sarah co-starred in the film, Ernest Goes to School (1994) alongside Jim Varney. In 1996, Sarah was a part-time actress in two movies: Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand Against Fear (1996), where she was a cheerleader who was named Krista Wilson. Sarah was asked to be a part in a TV show called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998) which was a year following Roseanne (1988). The show was based on a TV film of the same name and title, called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998), which Sarah was also in. In 1993 she took over Becky's role in Roseanne (1988). She announced that she was planning to quit acting and go to college. (2001) (1993-1997) Played as the older sister to Sara Gilbert on Roseanne (1988) however she is actually younger. Participated in the 1999 CCMA Awards Ceremony, at which she was presented with an award for the best single of 1999. September 1999: Appeared at age of 8 in Vancouver's stage productions. Fluent in French, German and Spanish. She is a volunteer at a hospice that cares for terminally ill children and works with the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. Chalke loves cooking with her friends, especially Thai and sushi, as well as playing the guitar. She also enjoys ski (she is an instructor), kayaking, snowboarding as well as reading. Her father is a lawyer as are her parents mediators. They also run an agency for the adoption of children. Her parents took her to China in order to facilitate the adoptions of multiple orphans.

Garner is a Southern Californian and made her feature film debut when she was seventeen years old, in the thriller of Larry Clark Bully (1901).
