Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was the daughter of
Gayle (Gaston) and was Director of the national office at Mary Kay and Freddie
Wright an executive pharmacist. Her home was San Diego, California. At 14 years
old she started her career in modeling. She was a model in Paris as well as
Japan. After graduating from high school, she made the choice to become an
actress. She got a role on the soap opera Santa Barbara (1984), for which she
was nominated three times for an Daytime Emmy. The first season of the show she
began to fall in love with fellow cast member Dane Witherspoon, whom she was
married in 1986. In 1987, she played the role of the title character in The
Princess Bride. She was cast as Santa Barbara but left to appear in Denial
(1990) alongside Jason Patric. In the year 1990, she was in State of Grace
(1990), where she got to know actor Sean Penn, by whom she had a daughter named
Dylan Frances, and a son, Hopper Jack. Robin returned to Hollywood with Tara in
one of the most important roles in her career, after taking her time. She was
an amazing actor and an amazing actor. She starred in Toys (1992), which was a
comedy starring Robin Williams. It was a very funny performance. Wright
appeared in 1994's blockbuster hit Forrest Gump (1994) with Tom Hanks. Wright was
nominated for the Golden Globe Award for her part in the film as Jenny. She was
offered a small role in The Crossing Guard (1995) along with Jack Nicholson.
After a string of rejections, she was offered the title part in MGM/UA's Moll
Flanders (1996). The movie was directed by Pen Densham and featured Morgan
Freeman, Stockard Channing, and Morgan Freeman. She then starred in Erin
Dignam's Loved (1997) co-starring William Hurt.
