Don Rickles Biography

 Don Rickles was an American stand-up comedian, author, and actor. He was among the most admired and well-known talents in the entertainment industry. His quick wit and humorous remarks, paired with his genuine care for his audience created an irresistible mix that brought joy, laughter and enjoyment. His ability to make insults seem humorous and not offensive made him a regular on celebrity roast circuits. His crude and hurtful remarks were a source of ridicule, but the recipient would always be laughing. He began his career as a standard comedian, who would perform rehearsed jokes. However, he soon realized that audiences loved his impromptu jokes more than his scripted material. He won many admirers, including Frank Sinatra. In addition to appearing in a variety of films and TV shows He also released two comedy albums. He received many honors including the Lifetime Achievement Award from  The Comedy Awards. He was a stand-up comedian and earned a number of nicknames, such as 'The Merchant of Venom' and 'The Insultan'  and 'Mr. He started performing stand-up comedy to supplement his income, eventually developing his "insult comedian" persona. He began the 1970s in an important role in the film 'Kelly's Heroes' (1970) which starred Clint Eastwood. He made a number of appearances on television comedies such as  The Don Rickles Show' (1972) and 'The Dean Martin Roasts' (1973). Barbara Sklar was Don Rickles' wife on March 14 in 1965. The couple had two kids, Mindy and Larry. Larry was killed by his father in the year 2011. Bob Newhart was his best friend. They often traveled together as two couples. They been on numerous shows together, including  Newhart.' Don Rickles died from kidney disease on April 6, 2017 in his home in Beverly Hills, California.
